The Township of Muskoka Lakes is committed to keeping our roadsides, shorelines, and public lands clean and safe. As needed, the Township will allocate resources to remove litter and debris found on Township roads and public lands.

As outlined in the Alteration of and Encroachment Upon Public Lands By-law 2022-021, littering on public lands is subject to enforcement by the Township.

Tips

  • DO NOT dispose of litter or debris in watercourses, lakes, or rivers.
  • DO NOT dispose of litter or debris on or in roads, ditches, and private property (other than your own).
  • Please dispose of your waste appropriately in designated waste containers/bins. If no disposal location, bin or container is immediately available, please take your waste with you.
