The Township of Muskoka Lakes offers a number of municipal docks, boat launches, and lake access points for all residents and visitors to enjoy Muskoka's clear waters.

Notice

The Windsor Park Dock will be closed from September 8 to week of September 28 while rehabilitation work is completed. Windsor Park will remain open throughout construction, with access restricted around the work area.

You may require a permit to park your vessel at one of these municipal properties. Please view the By-law for full details or contact the Operational Services Department at 705-765-3156.

Wharf Information

Wharf managers are responsible for four of our docking facilities throughout the Township. They are located at:

Wharf managers are responsible for the following:

  • Assess and collect fees
  • Facilitate public access to docking privileges
  • Monitor wharf use by the public and commercial users
  • Enforce provisions of the By-law
  • Seek assistance from the Township By-law Enforcement Officer when required
  • Provide a season end report
  • Submit a copy of docking permits and payments at the end of the season
  • Perform daily inspections
  • Perform routine, general maintenance

  • Per day (or after 4 hours): $1/per foot of boat length (Minimum $15.00)

  • Per month: $20/per foot of boat length (Minimum $400.00)

  • Per season: $60/per foot of boat length (Minimum $1200.00)

The summer season begins April 1st and ends on September 30th of each year. Fees are applicable for pleasure craft only. Commercial use is subject to additional guidelines. View By-Law 2003-29 for full details or contact the Operational Services Department at 705-765-3156.
