Voter Eligibility Checklist
Are you on our Voters List?
The RegisterToVoteON.ca online registration tool is now closed, and the preliminary Voters’ List is being transferred to the Township for review and preparation for the 2026 Municipal Election.
During this transition period, for questions or requests to check, add or update your voter information please contact the Township at 705-765-3156 or clerks@muskokalakes.ca. Staff will record your request and follow up once the online Voter Lookup tool is available.
Voter Lookup is expected to be available the week of August 17. Once available, eligible electors will be able to check, add or update their voter information online. Link coming soon.
Types of Electors
There are three ways you can qualify as an elector:
-
- Resident Elector: Lives in the municipality and considers it their permanent home.
- Non-Resident Elector: Lives outside the municipality but owns or rents property here. Proof of ownership or tenancy may be required.
- Spouse of a Non-Resident Elector: Is the spouse or same-sex partner of a non-resident property owner or tenant.
Please Note: If the property is owned by a business or a trust, you would not qualify as a non-resident elector.
If you are unsure whether you qualify as a non-resident elector, contact the Clerk for clarification. Municipal clerks are responsible for verifying eligibility before adding names to the voters’ list.
