in the Township of Muskoka Lakes for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election.

Water rescue training will be conducted at Windsor Park in Bala on July 4 to 5 and July 11 to 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and July 10 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Over the two weekends, residents and visitors can expect an increased presence of fire apparatuses and emergency personnel in and around this area. Members of the public are asked to stay clear of training areas and follow any posted signage or direction from on-site personnel.

As part of the program, the Township will avoid cutting milkweed wherever possible to support monarch butterfly conservation, as milkweed is critical to their reproduction and survival. Residents can support this effort by marking roadside milkweed with orange tape or cloth to make plants more visible to operators. Flagging tape is available from the Public Works Department upon request at 705-765-3156 or pw@muskokalakes.ca
