Join us on Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. at the Municipal Office for a community recognition ceremony with remarks from Mayor Peter Kelley, reflection, discussion and a group photo. Attendees are encouraged to wear orange, symbolizing the loss of culture, freedom, and self-esteem that many Indigenous children experienced. This day reminds us that Every Child Matters.
The Muskoka Lakes Fire Department will be conducting its Tanker Shuttle Accreditation on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, with a practice run to be conducted on Wednesday, Sept. 24 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.
Testing operations will be based out of Muskoka Lakes Sports Park (Bala) and a designated water dump site on the south end of Acton Island Road.
This is a planned exercise. There is no emergency and no risk to public safety.
