The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) – Bracebridge-Minden-Parry Sound District is advising area residents that a Flood Warning bulletin is in effect for the Black, Burnt, Muskoka, and Severn River watersheds in the District until Friday, April 11, 2025. The Flood Warning will affect residents within the MNR Bracebridge-Minden-Parry Sound District, which includes portions of the District Municipality of Muskoka, and the County of Haliburton.
MUSKOKA LAKES, ON –. The Township continues to advocate for Hydro One to have the remainder of the blocked roads addressed and power restored while focusing on cleanup efforts.
Gross Road is closed approximately 50 metres north of Muskoka Road 3 (Aspdin Road) to approximately 1050 Gross Road effective immediately. This closure is due to a culvert failure.

MUSKOKA LAKES, ON –. The Township has declared a Significant Weather Event for all Township roads throughout Muskoka Lakes effective immediately.
MUSKOKA LAKES, ON – In late 2024, Council approved a Short Term Rental Accommodation Licensing By-law. To ensure that the licensing process is efficient, compliant, and user-friendly, and due to unexpected technical issues, at their March 2025 meeting Planning Committee recommended that the By-law be amended to reflect a revised implementation schedule.
