MUSKOKA LAKES, ON –. The Township has declared a Significant Weather Event for all Township roads throughout Muskoka Lakes effective immediately.
MUSKOKA LAKES, ON – In late 2024, Council approved a Short Term Rental Accommodation Licensing By-law. To ensure that the licensing process is efficient, compliant, and user-friendly, and due to unexpected technical issues, at their March 2025 meeting Planning Committee recommended that the By-law be amended to reflect a revised implementation schedule.

As we transition to spring and temperatures begin to rise, the Township of Muskoka Lakes is preparing for the spring freshet season and are reminding property owners to take the necessary steps to ensure proper drainage, protect properties, and ensure personal safety is top of mind.
The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) – Bracebridge-Minden-Parry Sound District is advising area residents that a Flood Warning bulletin is in effect for the Black, Burnt, Magnetawan, Muskoka, and Severn River watersheds in the District until Friday, April 04, 2025. The Flood Warning will affect residents within the MNR Bracebridge-Minden-Parry Sound District, which includes portions of the District Municipality of Muskoka, the Territorial District of Parry Sound, and the County of Haliburton.
