Parking

The Township of Muskoka Lakes offers free public parking throughout the community, making it easy for residents and visitors to explore our downtown areas, parks, recreational facilities and other local amenities.

Please be mindful of posted parking signs, time limits and seasonal parking restrictions (Reference: Parking By-law 2022-043).

Free Public Parking

Free parking is available year-round at Township-owned parking lots throughout Muskoka Lakes, including:

Port Carling

• Municipal Office (1 Bailey St.)
• Port Carling Arena (3 Bailey St.)
• Muskoka Lakes Public Library, Port Carling Branch (69 Joseph St.)
• Hanna Park (40 Bailey St.)
• Downtown (2 Hour Limit)

Bala

• Jaspen Park (1005 Pine Ridge Rd.)
• Precambrian Shield (3080 Muskoka Rd. 169)
• Windsor Park (3040 Muskoka Rd. 169)
• Victoria Street
• Bala Arena and Community Centre (1009 Maple Ave.)
• Portage Landing (3117 Frank Miller Memorial Rte)
• Bala Sports Park (3224 Muskoka Rd. 169)
• Downtown

Additional parking lots can be found at Township community centres, beaches and parks, and boat launches.

Winter Parking Restrictions

To support safe and efficient snow removal operations, parking on Township roads from November 15 to April 1 is prohibited:

• At anytime that interferes with the removal or clearing of snow or ice
• Between 1:00 am and 7:00 am
