Canada Post Disruption – Township of Muskoka Lakes Services Update

(Updated October 15, 2025) Canada Post employees represented by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) have moved from a full, national strike to rotating strikes as of Saturday, October 11. During a rotating strike, Canada Post will accept, process and deliver mail and parcels in unaffected areas, customers can still expect delays (Source: Canada Post Press Release).

The Township of Muskoka Lakes is committed to maintaining service levels in-person, over the phone or online at www.muskokalakes.ca

To avoid potential mail delays, residents are encouraged to access services online, visit the Municipal Office at 1 Bailey Street in Port Carling, or use the secure drop box at the entrance for after-hours payments.

Applications, Licenses and Permits

Property Taxes

Residents are encouraged to set up alternative payment methods for tax bills. Available payment options include:

• Pre-Authorized Payments
• Financial institution (online or in-person banking)
• Online by credit card using the third-party provider, Paymentus
