Special Council Highlights - July 2026

Council adopted recommendations 1-10 from the July General Finance Committee meeting.

Council adopted recommendations 1-11 from the July Planning Committee and recommendations 1-9 from the July Special Planning Committee meetings.

Council passed all by-laws noted in the July Special Council Agenda except By-law 2026-084 which was postponed until the September Council meeting

As Hanna Park Playground has reached the end of its useful life, staff have completed the public consultation phase for the park's redesign. Based on the feedback received from the community, Council selected Option 3 as the preferred playground design. This option exceeds the amount originally approved in the Capital Budget and therefore Council recommended increasing the project budget to $561,300 to allow construction of the new playground. Council noted that any funding secured through grant applications and community fundraising efforts will first be applied toward the project with the Township funding the remaining balance of the budget increase, if required.
