Muskoka Lakes Fire Department

In 2025, Muskoka Lakes Fire responded to 672 incidents (up 17% from 2024), completed 340 home safety visits and received $164,400 in provincial grant funding to support ongoing equipment upgrades and cancer prevention initiatives.

With 21 new volunteer firefighters joining the team, we’re continuing to build skills, training, and community readiness for the year ahead.

Using the Online Property Tax Portal, you can:

  • Sign up for e-billing to receive your tax bills directly to your e-mail (starting June 2026)
  • Access your tax account online, anytime
  • Pay securely with Visa or Mastercard (credit or debit)

*E-billing will begin with the final 2026 tax bill. Register by June 1, 2026 to start receiving your tax bill by email.
**Once your roll number is registered for e-billing, you will no longer receive a mailed bill.

Voting will be by internet and telephone.

Confirm your eligibility: Canadian citizen, age 18+, live in Muskoka Lakes, own or rent property here, or the spouse of someone who does.

Confirm you ’re registered at vreg.registertovoteon.ca.

For Candidates

Nominations Open: May 1, 2026
Deadline: August 21, 2026 (2:00 p.m.)

Term of Council: November 15, 2026 – November 14, 2030

Township Tips

Overnight Parking

Overnight parking is not permitted on Township roads (1:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m.) from November 15 to April 1.
