You're Invited: Muskoka Lakes Volunteer Appreciation Event on August 13

Open to the public, join us for this community event to celebrate the people who help bring our community to life.

MUSKOKA LAKES, ON, May 26, 2026 – The Township of Muskoka Lakes is pleased to invite volunteers, community organizations, and the broader community to join us for the Muskoka Lakes Volunteer Appreciation Event on Thursday, August 13 from 5:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the Milford Bay Community Centre (1020 Beaumaris Road).

The Muskoka Lakes Volunteer Appreciation Event was created to celebrate the people who help bring our community to life.

Across Muskoka Lakes, volunteers give their time, energy, and care in so many meaningful ways, from supporting local organizations and community events to helping neighbours and building community spirit. Their contributions are part of what makes Muskoka Lakes a welcoming and vibrant place to call home.

Piece by piece, our community grows, and volunteers are a key piece of the puzzle.

This event will be held every two years, hosted by the Township of Muskoka Lakes.

What to Expect

Join us for a special evening open to the entire community: an opportunity to connect, unwind, and celebrate together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

• Complimentary food and drinks
• Exciting prize giveaways with items from local businesses
• A small thank-you gift from the Township

Register early for your chance to win! Attendees who register in advance and attend on August 13 will be entered into a draw for one of three grand prize baskets, featuring items from local businesses across Muskoka Lakes.

Want to get involved? 

This event is designed to give volunteers a well-deserved night off, but organizations that would like to take part or share information with the community are welcome to get involved in three ways:

1. Promotional Materials Table
   Provide the Township with printed materials about your organization to be included in a designated community promotion area. 

2. Activity Booth
   Develop and host an activity booth of your choosing as part of the evening’s programming.

3. Photo Slideshow Feature
