By-laws are created under the authority of Provincial legislation to address local community concerns. They help protect the environment, public health and safety, and ensure the community remains clean and orderly. By-law Enforcement Officers are responsible for educating the public, investigating complaints, and enforcing Township by-laws.
Report a By-law Infraction
Submit a question or concern through our online form. All complaints are kept confidential.
Submissions are reviewed during regular office hours. If your concern requires immediate attention, please call the municipal office at 705-765-3156. After operating hours, you will speak with our afterhours messaging service who will contact a staff member if necessary.
If your concern is regarding development, try speaking with your neighbour first. A respectful conversation can often resolve issues without needing enforcement. If that doesn't work, the Township’s By-law Enforcement Team may be able to help. Contact them to find out if any by-laws apply to your situation. You can also check our By-law Fact Sheet for common questions.
For information on local development projects, please refer the Muskoka GeoHub interactive mapping tool.
