The Township's Dog Control By-law helps promote public safety, responsible dog ownership, and animal welfare across Muskoka Lakes.
How To Apply

* A 1.65% surcharge applies to all credit card payments. This rate is subject to change.
Dog Owner Responsibilities
- No more than three dogs shall be kept at one property unless the owner holds a valid kennel licence issued by the Township.
- Dogs are not permitted to run at large and must be leashed and under control when on public property.
- Dogs are not allowed in public swimming areas from May to September, except Service Animals.
- Excessive barking or howling is prohibited.
- Dog owners must immediately clean up and properly dispose of dog waste.
