A Tax Statement is a document that shows ownership and legal description, current assessment and levy information and also provides the current balance and transaction history. This document is only available to the property owner.

Available Statement Options

Current Tax Account Statement

Shows your owner/legal description information, current status of taxes, and the annual taxes billed to date, for the year.

The cost of this statement is $15.00*

Transactional Tax Account Statement

Shows your owner/legal description information, current status of taxes, the annual taxes for the year and has the addition of showing detailed transactions during the time period requested.

The cost of this statement is $15.00*

Duplicate Tax Bill

An exact copy/re-print of the original property tax bill that we mail out to you.

The cost of a duplicate property tax bill is $25.00*

How to Request a Tax Statement

Mail

This option is for cheques only. Include written request with the following property information:

19-digit roll number
Full legal description
Civic address
Current owners name

1 Bailey Street, P.O. Box 129, Port Carling, ON, P0B 1J0

In-Person

You can request your Tax Statement at the Township office and pay by cash, cheque, debit, or credit card* during regular business hours.

Cheques may also be dropped off after hours using the secure drop box located at the Bailey Street entrance.

Credit card payments are subject to a 1.75% surcharge fee per transaction.

Solicitors

In the event of a property sale, your solicitor cannot purchase a tax statement, they must purchase a Tax Certificate. Please have them contact our office to order and pay for one well in advance of your closing date.

Property Tax Online Portal

The Township of Muskoka Lakes provides a convenient online option for viewing and printing similar information free of charge though our Property Tax Online Portal.
