District of Muskoka - Service Alert: Multiple Bridge Lifts in Port Carling on Sept. 29 and 30

From the District Municipality of Muskoka:

On Tuesday, September 29th and Wednesday, September 30th the Port Carling Lift Bridge will undergo 3 bridge lifts per day to allow for inspection of the bridge’s electrical components.

Travel and access in the area will be impacted. Motorists and pedestrians should expect delays of up to 15 minutes between 10 am and 2:30 pm due to increased bridge operations. Please plan ahead to account for increased travel time through the area.

An alternate route is available on the District of Muskoka website should motorists wish to avoid the Port Carling Lift Bridge area on the scheduled inspection days.
